Permanent Cosmetics by Jody Dischler
“I pride myself on the many satisfied customers I have taken into my care, most of whom I have changed their lives forever. Clients are treated with the highest standard of patient welfare, excellence of procedures, and the most advanced systems of sterilization. My reputation precedes itself throughout the industry and is the reason my work continues to be on a referral basis.”
I’ve been doing permanent cosmetics (also known as micropigmention) for 20 years in Naples, Florida. Prior to that I was a surgical assistant for 13 years, the first 5 specializing in cardiothoracic and reconstructive surgery. The following 8 years were freelance assisting for dozens of plastic surgeons in their private operating room suites. Working in the operating room for 13 years allowed me to work with many innovative, creative and talented surgeons. It was there that I was first exposed to the art of micropigmentation as it was applied to the medical field, I watched surgeons doing areola restoration, cleft lip reshaping, and scar camoflauge. I loved it, I couldn’t believe the difference the results made!! I began to do extensive research and discovered that micropigmentation actually has many purposes, I was most interested in two of them. One was for medical aesthetics (as listed above), second was for general beautification, eyebrows, eyeliner and lip shaping. It wasn’t long before I began a lengthy apprenticeship with a top permanent cosmetic artist in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I grew increasingly enthusiastic, especially after seeing the reactions and results of many grateful and satisfied clients. It was then that I began the transition from the operating room into the ever growing field of permanent cosmetics. Now 20 years later I feel extremely fortunate to be in this industry and to be able to improve other people’s lives.
This enthusiasm shows with every canvas (client) I touch.
